NEW College has once again hosted students from Lycée Borde Basse in Castres, Wakefield’s twin town in France.  Ten students of English spent a week at the sixth form college as part of the fourth year of the exchange. 

They visited various local attractions, including Xscape, Leeds, Wakefield and York and followed a typical timetable during their four days in college. The aim of the exchange is to give students an opportunity to improve their English and learn about the life of an English student. Their partners will make the return visit in October as part of the celebrations for the 55th anniversary of the Wakefield-Castres twinning arrangement.
